The three ways a pick can be booked
A pick in The Colchis can be booked in one of three ways, and each listing says who takes the booking:
- Affiliate: you book with a partner, on a booking platform or on the operator’s own site.
- Resale: you book with The Colchis, which sells a day that someone else runs.
- Our own trips: you book a trip that The Colchis runs itself.
The guide starts with affiliate booking. Resale is for days that have no platform listing, and our own trips are a later stage.
Affiliate booking
Affiliate booking means you leave The Colchis and book on the partner’s page. You pay the partner, at the partner’s price, and the booking is made under the partner’s terms. Those terms decide who handles changes, cancellations and refunds, so read them before you pay.
If you book through our link, the partner may pay The Colchis a commission. The partner pays it, at no extra cost to you: using our link does not add anything to the price you pay.
Resale
Resale means The Colchis is the seller of a day that another business runs. It is meant for days that no booking platform lists. In a resale booking you would pay The Colchis. Resale terms, including who handles changes and refunds, will be published before the first resale listing.
No listing is resold today.
Our own trips
Our own trips are trips that The Colchis would design and run itself. You would pay The Colchis, and The Colchis would handle changes and refunds under terms shown before booking.
We run no trips today.
How paying links are marked
Every link that can earn us money is marked in two ways:
- On the page: a line next to the link says that we may earn a commission if you book through it.
- In the code: the link carries the attribute
rel="sponsored", which tells search engines that it is a paid link.
A price shown on a pick carries the date we checked it. Where the operator publishes no price, for example a trip quoted for your dates, the pick says “Priced on request” instead. Prices change, so the partner’s page always holds the live price.
What never changes
A pick is never on a page because a partner paid for placement. In every booking mode, a partner cannot buy a place, a higher position or kinder wording.
Where things stand today
As of 29 September 2026, our only paying partner is GetYourGuide, through its partner programme. Links to GetYourGuide on the shortlist pages can earn us a commission and are marked as described on this page. Links straight to an operator, a venue or another booking site pay us nothing. No listing is resold, and we run no trips.
