How many days do you need for a Georgia tour?
You need about a week to see Tbilisi, the Kakheti wine country and the mountains at Kazbegi without rushing, and several more days to add Svaneti, which is about 8 to 9 hours by road from Tbilisi.
If you only have a few days, skip the multi-day tour and pick two or three hand-picked day experiences from Tbilisi instead. The mountains do not need a week either: Stepantsminda, the town under Gergeti Trinity Church, is about 157 kilometres north of Tbilisi and about 3 to 3.5 hours each way on the Georgian Military Road without stops, so a Kazbegi day trip fits the church and the view of Kazbek into one long day.

What is the best month to visit Georgia?
For a trip that mixes cities, wine and mountains, May to June and September to October are the easiest months. Tbilisi averages daily highs of about 31°C in July and August, while the season for the Mestia to Ushguli trek in Svaneti runs from the beginning of June to late October.
Can British travellers visit Georgia without a visa?
